Abstract: We generate structured light by several approaches and study the characteristics of the structured light via spin angular momentum (SAM) and orbital angular momentum (OAM). The twisted light possessing OAM as a new degree of freedom can transfer OAM to molecules, atoms, and electrons in recent studies. Hence, we proposed a novel approach to investigate the light-matter interaction using structured light with SAM and OAM degree of freedom coupled with layered 2D materials. This study may open the new window of physics while structured light interacts with 2D semiconductor materials for application in optoelectronics and nanophotonics.
