Abstract:
Currently, there are two accelerator light sources in National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC), 1.5 GeV Taiwan light source (TLS) and 3 GeV Taiwan Phone Source (TPS). NSRRC is an international institution that aims to provide high-quality shared laboratories, especially for our domestic researchers. The light sources in NSRRC can provide the basic and applied sciences such as physics, chemistry, materials, biology, medicine, chemical industry, energy, space and earth sciences, environmental sciences, semiconductors, micromachinery. Meanwhile, the accelerator technology can be applied for the medical, immigration security, food, agriculture, environment, and radiation therapy. In addition, the technology of the accelerator and beam line components in NSRRC will be introduced, especially the insertion devices which are the main components of the light source. Finally the Taiwan Photon Source and its current operating status will be also described.
