Abstract :
Advances in low-energy-threshold detectors greatly expand our capability of probing particle dark matter with mass below the GeV scale, for example, the generic light WIMPs (weakly-interacting massive particles), dark photons, and axion-like particles (ALPs). In this talk, I will briefly overview the current and future experimental efforts in this relatively new venue of dark matter searches, and discuss the relevant theory inputs that are necessary in interpreting the experimental measurements.
