Graphene has been widely studied recently due to its unique band structure which leads to interesting physic phenomena and potential application. The property of graphene can easily tune by the impurity and different kinds of defect. Therefore, to realize the defection generation and its dynamic is the key to the future possible application. In this talk, we will first introduce the role of graphene in condensed matter physic and several physic phenomena. In the latter part of talk, we will demonstrate how to generate defect in graphene by anodic local oxidation and recovery by x-ray photoelectron microscopy.
