Following the rapidly extensive development of graphene, lots of two-dimensional (2D) materials have been continually announced and predicted that they possess much potential to be applied to a variety of (opto) electronic devices. In this presentation, elemental 2D materials and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) will be mainly discussed. Overall, the production methods, material properties, and mainstream applications will be introduced.
