An Adventure from Light-year to Nanometer

Abstract: I was an astrophysicist and now a software engineer in the semiconductor industry. In the first part of the talk, I will share with you about my adventure from the most tremendous world to the tiniest world: How did I find the path toward this career transition? What is the daily life of a software engineer? The connection between my current job and education training, and the challenges I have faced in a multi-discipline working environment. In the second part of the talk, I will offer my suggestions about career planning for students and tips for job-hunting. I expect a leisure atmosphere in this talk and encourage questions and discussions.
