You can joint a 3-day tour to the famous Taroko National Park and the Hua-lien area (Oct 9-11). Taroko is a natural marble gorges close to Hua-lien, a city of the mid-Pacific coast of Taiwan island. The tour is especially organized for ICFP participants, with English speaking guide(s). Unless the number of our fellow participants interested is far too small, the tour will be run. The cost per person is about NT$ 9000., by the current estimate. That covers all the trip expenses, including insurance, transportation, all meals, and accommodation.
