We are studying the canonical analysis of the Poincar'e Gauge theory of gravity. In light of the recently discovered conditional bifurcation phenomena in Dirac's algorithm lengthy calculations are expected hence Computer aided investigation is probably unavoidable.
Consequently, we are beginning our investigations using the symbolic manipulation language MACSYMA which has just been installed with the help of the Mathematics Department here at National Central University.
This work as well as a number of other theoretical investigations is being done in collaboration with J.M. Nester.
